Great variety of styles of beats and rhymes on this album. Absolutely can’t get enough of The Incident as Bazooka Joe 204 and Rob Crooks combine with Yy and Kinetic beats to make a classic. Awesome job by the number of guest rappers and beat makers on this release.
Favorite track: The Incident ft. Bazooka Joe 204, Rob Crooks (Prod. DJ Kinetik).
Eventually Potentially - For anyone who’s been estranged from a family member, by their own choosing or not.
What It Did - Winnipeg and Saskatoon are sister cities when it comes to the underground hip-hop scene. Factor Chandelier is fun as hell to make music with, and this time we brought some of the homies into the mix. Cam the Wizard from Calgary, Id Obelus from Indiana, Nolto from Saskatoon, Gumshoe and I were all in Saskatoon for Summer Fling in July of 2023, so we hit the studio.
Civil Defenceses (Dren remix) -
Gruf is such a great MC. We were meticulous in the making our album Mental Health Day with Rob Crooks. Dren from Saskatoon made this dope remix to the first track on the album. We wrote this so both verses mirror each other style-wise and rhyme-wise, syllable for syllable, which you can hear at the end of this remix.
The Incident - DJ Kinetik is a staple in the Winnipeg scene and has been the homie for over two decades. We haven’t collaborated since She Just Knows from the Ready to Roll EP in 2003, so this was long overdue. This is also somehow the first time the combination of Bazooka Joe 204, Rob Crooks and myself have had a song to ourselves despite them being two of my most frequent collaborators.
Current Deterrent - My kids caught the music bug. My son Kaden started making beats and DJing shows, so when he made this beat for me I had to go in on it. The second verse was originally written for Bazooka Joe 204’s That I Knew What For before his album became a true solo project.
Ally (Noblonski Remix) - The first song written for the Turn the Gun album Perpetual Suvival. Made in early 2020, then reworked a bit after George Floyd was murdered. Noblonski remixed this straight from Berlin. Gave it a totally different feel.

The Gumshoe Strut is a movement. Literally. A prairie hip hop stalwart who has marched to the beat of his own drum for the
better part of two decades. His production and vocal delivery have matured over the years while maintaining the same raw energy that garnered him a niche following of fans around the world....more
Pip's first album with mcenroe for 18 years! I wasn't sure what to expect as their approach to hip hop has changed a fair bit since those 2 classic solo albums. But I shouldn't have worried because this album is dope as fuck and a testament to why I love P&C so much! From the infectious beats to Pip's usual on-point lyrics, this is a gem from start to finish. napkins7

Wordsmith painting vivid pictures and spinning epic yarns over dope beats. What's not to love? Iowanna is hella catchy and Carp Diem must be listened to with headphones to really appreciate the mastery of bigmcenroe on the beats. Quite a soundscape on that one. A bit of the beat reminds of 3-Minute Rule by Beastie Boys. And this all slayed live at the Beer Can. caderock
